The Tenancy Deposit Schemes (Scotland) Regulations 2011 also require you to give your tenant(s) some key information about their deposit. To help you do this, we've created this template.
If you are using the model Private Residential Tenancy (PRT) agreement then you can use the Prescribed Information (PRT) template. If you have additional clauses then please add these to the template.
All prescribed information fields must be completed and a copy must be given to all tenants listed on the tenancy agreement within 30 working days of the tenancy start date.
Our guidance video shows how you can download your choice of either a pre-populated or a blank Prescribed Information form from within your user account.
Please note that the prescribed information is not the same as the deposit protection certificate that we send to all parties. Failure to give this information to your tenant(s) could result in you being ordered to pay the tenant up to the equivalent of three times the deposit.
