Women at The Well

Press release issued by The Well Multi-Cultural Resource Centre

The Well Multi-Cultural Resource Centre (The Well) is excited to announce that we have secured funding from the SafeDeposits Scotland Community Fund to run a series of programmes called "Women at The Well" starting in August!

At The Well we want all women in the community to have a space where they feel comfortable, get a warm welcome so they can build confidence, practice or learn new skills and make friends.

"Women at The Well" is a series of social programmes just for women. Starting in late August, we will offer two groups. "Chai and Chat", a social craft group, and "Bubbles", a toddler group for women and children up to school age.

Previous participants of our social programmes have shared their positive experiences to demonstrate the real impact these groups can have: "People look after each other in this group"; "I like to come and speak to people, you make it so I don't feel anxious" and "I don't have family nearby, but now I have friends."

The Well remains dedicated to providing opportunities for women to learn skills, foster independence, build confidence and support networks. "Women at The Well" are more than just groups: they are a strategic investment in the success and resilience of the women in our community.
