Introduction to Inventory Management (Scotland)

 ARLA Propertymark

SafeDeposits Scotland is working with our partner, ARLA Propertymark, to deliver the course Introduction to Inventory Management (Scotland), which is a Foundation level course accounting for 3.5 hours of CPD.

Scottish Letting & Property Management - Part B

The inventory or inventory and schedule of condition as it is commonly called is a single document that records the condition of a property, the fixtures and fittings, any contents that will remain at the property and any gardens, grounds and outbuildings. The inventory and schedule of condition safeguards both the landlord and the tenant by providing a true and accurate description of the property at the start of the tenancy and this course aims to provide attendees with a clear overall understanding of the role of the inventory and practical advice and guidance in line with the Tenancy Deposit Schemes.

Topics

  • The purpose of the inventory
  • How it fits with the Letting Agent Code of Practice
  • Inventory preparation
  • The check-in
  • Periodic visits
  • The check-out
